Child and teen therapy from a school-trained psychologist
Before I worked with high-achieving adults, I worked with kids, teens and parents. For years I was a therapist in schools and clinics in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Now I have a full-time office in Manhattan, near Koreatown, and I'm bringing that work back: therapy for kids and teens, and coaching for parents who want to understand their child, not just manage their behavior.
If you grew up walking on eggshells and you're determined your kid won't, this is for you. Many of the parents I work with did everything right on paper, then catch themselves sounding exactly like their own parents. That moment isn't a failure. It's the opening.
Who I work with
Anxious, perfectionistic kids
The kid who melts down over a B+ or can't start homework until it's perfect.
Teens between two cultures
Teens who shut down, push back, or stop talking to their parents.
Neurodivergent kids and teens
Kids on the autism spectrum or with ADHD, and the families learning to understand them.
Big emotions, or none at all
Outbursts, withdrawal, or the kid who seems "fine" but isn't.
Parent coaching
Kids do better in therapy when their parents are involved, so parent work is part of the treatment. It can look like:
- Collateral sessions alongside your child's therapy with me.
- Standalone coaching, whether or not your child is in therapy.
- Support for parents of neurodivergent kids, including making sense of a diagnosis and advocating at school.

Working with schools
Much of my training happened inside schools, and I've worked on IEP and 504 plans with school teams many times. With your permission, I can consult with your child's school so everyone understands your child the same way.
How it works
Where: In person at 303 5th Ave, near Koreatown and the 33rd St PATH. Parent coaching is also available by telehealth in New York and New Jersey.
